great week in socal

we had a really great week! we got bikes on wednesday night and have been exploring our area with them. we plan to ride some more today. we road to the Good Day Cafe yesterday for a late lunch, then down to the beach. we road along the beach boardwalk til we got to the Bolsa Chica wetlands. we road along the narrow dirt paths of the wetlands winding our way back inland towards Warner and Graham (our neighborhood streets). it was a hot ride when the breeze was against our backs. i felt silly wearing a sweatshirt then.

anyway, that evening we went to ikea and got a shelf. it's still in the car. i was cold when we got home last night and asked if we could get it out in the day time when it's less chilly. after ee-kaya, we went to the art walk in costa mesa. stopped at two galleries and met some artists and nice people. i miiiight start volunteering at this antique shop, but we'll see. it's a room full of crap that these two gallery owners have been taking care of. they want the place to get more traffic and are asking that interested artists just hang out there and draw, but be there so when ppl stop by, someone's there to let them in. there's no pay in it. there's everything you can imagine. i think the old chairs could be really cool painted.

well we're off to the market ;)
