today

well i got it in my head that i could move the bed downstairs on my own w/o waiting for my dad. i made it down the stairs easy with the first mattress, and the frame, but got stuck on the stairs w/ the box spring.. my dad walked in just as i was needing an extra hand. sweet. my dad and i left for BJs and got some din din together. talked about life, all our moves. the fact that my mom has packed up and moved our family about 23 times. she's quite a super hero. i think she could consult moms moving their fams overseas..

made a good dent today. and swam at the pool. xavi's looking tonight at an apt on ocean blvd in long beach. it was a good price and looked like a cute place.. hope something works out with one of these places. it'd be nice to get to the next step and have an idea of the size of the place we'll be moving into..

looking forward to hanging out with my friend ryan in few days.. we always have a good time out. what else? i finally saw the curious case of benjamin button and loved it.

i'm really gonna miss this city. just being out and running errands 'round town this last week reminded me of my first weeks in austin a little over 4 years ago.. areas where i'd get lost, and now know by heart. so many streets are transformed by these new apartment developments going up. its almost hard to remember what was there before. remembering when the saloon on the corner was just an old gas station, and when the bike shop used to be a kentucky fried chicken. there are quite a few places i'm visiting for the first time, and they've been here for at least a year, but i just never got over there before. flip happies is one xavi and i would go to and every time it was closed when we'd get there. its near casa de luz. now i have a little bit of time to hit up these places before they close for the day.
